Winter weather and prayers

This bitter cold and heavy snows is causing issues across the country and I just wanted to say hoping everyone's staying warm and safe. Don't venture out if you are in one of the snowy areas its not worth the risk of injury. Stay in,stay warm and safe and hopefully spring isn't far off!

We've seen record breaking lows here in Florida and we have a unusually high homeless population here due to the usual warm year round climate and I saw the organization's that care and provide for those asking for donations of blankets and warm clothing since most here own nothing more than a lightweight jacket. If you have extra such things nows a good time to get your closets cleaned out and help others as well.

Don't forget your furry friends as well and most humane societies are always in need of old blankets,sheets and towels to keep kennels warm and dry. Don't forget to bring your pets in outta the cold even if you have to put them in the garage it is better than outdoors.

It's been in the 70's and by Monday it's supose to be in the 20's here. The sun was shinning most of the week and it's been raining all day today. I often think when the weather is crazy like this with such extremes all over the country that our bodies pain is their way of protesting.

When the weather gets so cold, remember People, Pets, Plants & Pipes. Vickie is right about the homeless. All of the places that help the homesless have had their budgets cut while everything has been going up. Remember "If not for the Grace Of God, There Go Me And My Family"

There is another side that many people don't think about. That is people that have a place to live but have no heat. Even though it is better to be out of the ice, rain and snow it still can get so cold inside someone home that they can die from it. Many times these neighbors don't make it known they don't have heat. They are often disabled and/or elderly. Don't assume someone has heat if you haven't been in their home. Even though there are social programs that pay for heat, for various reasons many people don't apply for it. Call and touch base with neighbors. When it is as cold as it is now in most places in the U.S., you can tell by the way someone talks if you need to investigate further or call someone else to see if they are safe.

SisterPam, time for the ceilingfans to be on recently, now it is brrr cold with freezing rain, sleet and everything closed. Rollercoaster Weather. . LOL

Your right about that Lexi and I have been praying that rain forecast changes since I don't do well with rain at any temperature. We here in Florida are unfortunately coming into our rainy season and I was hoping since the weather was so crazy everywhere else ours would break pattern too. Not looking good,Central Florida had rain start late yesterday evening.

Coastal. I don't do good with rain at any temp either. I've been praying its wrong too but its starting to get real windy and a 90% chance of rain tonight so I'm not holding my breath.
