Spring is here in the S. Texas coast area. I awoke to beautiful sunny blue skies with highs in the upper 70's!

After 2 weeks of cold rainy days, EVERYDAY, it was a sight to see! My hubby woke me and said, "Honey, there is a yellow thing in the sky"! lol
I know all of you can agree, that cold/wet weather = more pain and I was quite sick of it!

Anyway, I hope all of you are able to enjoy some well deserved nice weather wherever you are. I plan on getting me some Vitamin D, playing with my babies (fur people) in the yard (they have been cooped up as well) and enjoying every minute of it!

Glad that you both awoke to such a beautiful day. It sounds perfect.

We here in sunny California are dry as a bone. The last few days have been thankfully humid. The extra moisture has been lovely.

I hope your day in the sunshine with your babies was was spectacular!

Please send that warm weather up north!! It has finally stopped snowing here in New England. But despite the relative "heat wave" that we've had this last week (mid 30's to 40's...whereas previously we'd been lucky to break 15 during the day, and -10 at night for months, not factoring in wind chills), and the rain we had today, we still have several feet of snow on the ground. Personally, I love snow. But even I am ready for this winter to end! After the winter we've had, 40 pretty much feels like t-shirt weather. So I can only imagine how nice upper 70's must feel. And to see the sun, too... Definitely envious!!

We actually broke record highs in central Florida yesterday it was 87 yesterday afternoon!!

Skeye, I'm so sorry that all of you have had some horrible weather. You can send some wet weather here. We will gladly take it. We are being fined for regular use of water.

I live in Daytona and right now we are coming to the end of a gorgeous 2015 Bike week Leila but we are starting to see some very dry areas as well with a week of 80+ and one of the larger homeless camps burned earlier in the week from the dry leafy ground so we're in need of a little rain too. I believe we are supposed to get some this week ahead but since it was suppose to rain everyday with 20-30% chances last week and didn't rain a drop I'm not counting on it. Watering my yard at the moment.

The thing I guess that awed me the most when I moved to Florida and makes me wonder why other states dont do more with the option is the use of recycled water for sprinklers here. It smells horrid,the use of undrinkable waters but it keeps down a lot of fire hazards by regular sprinkler system use. Coming from the hills of KY where water bans and fines during the summer months ensue it just seemed like a good alternative that other states don't make use of. Ky has oodles of streams,creeks,rivers and lakes that could be utilized to prevent summer fires.

Vickie I totally agree.... recycled water is the way to go. I don't Understand why they make everything so dam difficult. It just seem that we don't learn from each other as a country.

You and I should be in charge lol.

I am sorry they burned down the homeless camp. It is just so sad that we have homeless population. There is no reason for it.

And here in the balmy midwest....LOL....we hit the high 50's today. The warmth was very welcomed. I pretended it was warmer and did some yard work, uncovering bits of the flowerbed that hold the rock gardens. There were green things happily looking back at me.
I was excited doing the work, discovering most of my plants survived the long winter. At least most of the rock garden ones did.....
Oh, but I was paying for it later.
I didn't mind as much, knowing I accomplished what I did ....and happy knowing that since Mr. Robin dug for worms in the yard as I was working, that spring has finally arrived!

All I can say is "Yahoo for Spring"!!!

I am so ready for it - went to Lowe's today and it was like garden mania!! So many people out getting all their garden needs, the wait was long but so worth it. Got my stuff and I must say it was all on sale/clearance.

Hoping everyone can enjoy Spring soon!

Just amazing what just a few days can make! A little over a week ago we had a record breaking snow storm with over 17 inches! Then it warmed a a little ( 40's & 50's)and we had lots and lots of rain and melted all the snow! Last two days sunny and in the upper sixties! I think, I hope? spring is here in Kentucky!

Oh yeah one more thing..... Go U.K. Wildcats! smile!!
