Yes another Monday here and the spammer and storms here have kept me up longer than usual tonight. It started raining about 5 yesterday evening and hasn't stopped for more than a few minutes all night long, some really heavy lightening too.

Welcome to all the new members and glad to have you all.

This is Monday check-In where we hope everyone stops in and tells us how your weekend went, let us know about anything you have on the agenda for the upcoming week,appointments, procedures, surgeries, anything really you would like to share or ask to be kept in prayers and thoughts.

We have a few with family members hospitalized and please keep them in your thoughts.

Hey y'all...My saga continues, so no need to beat that horse. smilewinkgrin

As Vickie said, storms on the horizon for most of this week. Just please, Lord...no more tornadoes for those of us who have endured SO many in the past 3 seasons.  Prayers to the families who have lost so much, and so many loved ones...with storm anniversaries approaching.  It doesn't get easier.

Yes, we have several folks here that are dealing with what seem to be insurmountable issues.  We also have several of whom I am missing.  Has anyone heard from BTL or Daesin, for starters?  I know I was off the grid with Fentanyl trial dragging me through the Badlands, so...Maybe I've overlooked their posts.  They were here SO regularly, it's like we've lost family members. sad

Sending wellness wishes to all my cyber sibs!

Monday evening has arrived. True to my pattern, fluffed pillows and on the couch.
LOL. This is where I whine that my leg hurts.
No worries though, a hot bath (painful as hell for a good 15 seconds) will confuse the nerves for a chunk of time...and then it's jammies and bed.

Tomorrow I see the eye specialist who's rechecking me from the whooper bacterial infection I got in my eye. Interesting that he asked me if I'd ever had shingles....
Later this week, blood tests to see if my vitamin D deficiency is any better. I'm recently diagnosed with osteoporosis and they'd like me to consider prolia. Not sure where I'm at with that one....but nothing happens until that level goes up. (After researching prolia, I'm good with pausing before deciding.)

I'm trying to get organized for my appointment with a different PM doctor. I'm concerned either I'll forget or he won't make the time to hear my concerns. *sigh* Perhaps I need to say that outright to him.

Oh, but I have great hopes for this week--it's supposed to be approaching 70° here....something we've not seen since early October!!

April 15 is fast approaching! I just got our taxes done last week...finally. Our weather is nice with lots of rain in the forecast.

I'm also concerned about some missing members who have just had surgery and others who are scheduled later this month-

Hello all, I am hanging in there. Waiting to see new Neurosurgeon. Taking my MRI films and radiology report on Wednesday. Will get an appointment scheduled at that time. Ready to see what he says. I will not be going back to the other guy, bad vibes there. Ready for whatever is to come. Tired, in pain and want this behind me.
Hope for a less stressful and painful week for everyone.

Hello friends. What a day! I was able to clear another planting area on the street side of my home. Had to move a bunch of 'decorative stone' and pull up landscape plastic. Now that it's done, I've planted the sunflower seeds which should root better this year with no plastic stopping them! Then it was into the 'inside yard' which is the dog area. Cleaned out the border there and reseated the wire fencing. When that was done, I was able to relax on the chaise with my garden magazine that came in todays mail. This evening my friend and I went to the Lowes and I found a fountain on clearance. Imagine, a $169 dollar fountain that I only had to pay $59 dollars for! Now the garden is complete! I just get to sit back and watch it bloom and listen to the wind chimes and the fountain! If you're ever in NJ, let me know! We can sit in the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells. When evening comes, we can light the chiminea!

Well it's Tuesday but since I'm new here I'll still add a post...

This week not much going on, next week is a big one with seeing (hopefully) a new PM doc, results from my latest back MRI and what they plan to do (probably rhysotomy, i.e. burning nerves away), a new nerve test with another doc (that's 3 docs and 3 appt's in 3 days) on my legs to see why my leg pain/numbness/tingling doesn't match what the MRI says is wrong with my back or my hip issues.

Jamie, someone has definitely turned the heating off down here hey? Think it was only 4°C here one morning late last week and still two months til winter 😳 We had to take out half a dozen or so big candlebarks early last year, so I'm trying to bribe my brother (home cooking...neither he or his gf can cook, lol) to come round and chop some firewood for me so I can get the coonara going. I was thinking of you the other day btw...we went out on Sunday to get some extra fish for out pond, and the aquarium had some baby short neck turtles.

Don't know how much is the cold, how much is overdoing things and how much is a virus on top (don't feel "sick" and no fever, but got sore, swollen lymph nodes everywhere) but I'm hurting worse than I have in months, even in stupid places like finger & toe, and costochondral joints. Really frustrating as I've been doing better and been making plans for my new garden - got an IOU for a new greenhouse & hopefully a chook run, and I want to get it all in and established before the frosts hit.

Should apologise, as I feel like I don't come by that often anymore, and when I do I complain... But my email is under my name so if anyone ever needs anything at all please don't hesitate to give me a shout. I might not be here but I'm always happy to talk or do what I can to help if anyone needs a friendly ear :)

I got pulled over for speeding on Saturday. Had just driven into the edge of small town where the limit was 30 mph and I was probably closer to 40. He looked at my license and then asked where we were going. I made sure to mention that we had gone to see my Mom in the nursing home and were now going back home after a looong trip.

Then he asked me if I had some sort of injury. Don't know if it was because I was squirming around and moaning or the permanent look of pain on my face or if he saw the foam I was sitting on. Told him I had a back injury and he handed me back my license and said to be more careful.

I think he took pity on me. Still have my perfect record after 40 years without ever getting a ticket. And I used to have a muscle car that was around 500 horsepower! devil

Went to ENT - diagnosed with Meniere's from the sinus infection that didn't seem to go away. No treatment.

Went to neurologist for the muscle spasms and spasticity - Rx clonazepam, which scares me because of the possible side effects. But I've tried just about everything else and pain management isn't helping.

Went to allergist, routine checkup. Nothing new. Not taking any meds, just the shots.

I pick up the grandsons after school tomorrow. The 7-y-o has been pollinating all my flowers since I showed him about seed pods. We'll experiment with making bread grow mold before and after washing their hands. Then we'll see if the toads have laid eggs yet. (tadpoles eat boiled lettuce - the soft green parts)

Wednesday morning now. The sun is shining so that means more work will be done outside! Just a bit more of fine tuning. I got a Carolina Jasmine vine that needs to get planted in the back so it can trail over the garden arch, some plants to make hanging baskets with, and more tidying up. Gonna be interesting with my boo boo pinky!

i send many healing thoughts to everyone. i am cranking some trivium. starting to tidy up a little. am behind, but i needed the rest. possible pow wow with family tomorrow. it is needed. just keeping on pushing. i am very happy that i have you guys in my corner. people come into our lives for specific reasons; a kick in the a** guidance and experience and to help you promote yourself. i have received much of this, and it is good.
