Oh, Jake...I'm sorry to hear this. Be prepared to jump through HOOPS, whichever course you take. I have been in no man's land since enrolling in PM January 2014.
As Quincy posted (and I'll repeat) "These hoops are made for jumping". I'll add my 2 cents, which is...I CAN'T JUMP...I'm just trying to walk, literally...eat, sleep, poop.
Even my PM doctor told me that there are drugs that can give me back my life...but they're expensive. JEEZ...He's right, but when did America come to this? I'm told our income is too much for any kind of prescription assistance. They don't seem to take "accounts payable" into consideration.
It HURT to pay out of pocket for 6 weeks of Fentanyl patches...but my husband said, "Baby we've gotta do whatever it takes". We did. It was a nightmare, crippling financially and physically.
Oxycodone trial was not as hard out of pocket. However, I needed the ER version...OH MY WORD...expensive! I have to consider (as do all CPPs) can I DO THIS financially, no matter how effective it is for pain management? Can I risk everything we've worked our whole lives for?
I don't mean to go "political" here, but did anyone see the national news of how DEA money was being diverted to PARTY CENTRAL for the gate keepers? Now, the resignation to save face. What a farce!
