I'm on a 6 day Medrol pack for an ileo-tibial band inflammation. My pain has subsided somewhat, (walking isn't pleasant). The doctor recommended I do a second six-day course if I wanted to. What do you recommend? Up next is a cortisol injection in a week.

Welcome to the CP forum J2 and I am not sure exactly what your asking but I don't see an issue with the second dose pak or the injection and the problems with steroids generally come into play with those who have to take it in large doses for some time or maintenance dosing long term. Hoping your issues get resolved soon.

I well know the problems. I was on steroids for a year and a half. I'm generally on the ulcerative colitis forum and appreciate your reaching out here. I have this leg pain that really affects walking.

Since it's a pretty short course of steroids, I would do another course, if the Dr thinks it would be best.
The risks of longterm use are pretty serious, but steroids definitely serve a purpose when it comes to symptom management. An injection can provide relief for months.

I've been on them for over a decade, and have Cushing's, cataracts, and AVN to show for it.
