I have battled recurrent plantar fasciitis and arch pain from tendonitis for years. The three things that have helped me the most are 1) lace up shoes so she can control the "tension" and support 2) professional orthotics from a podiatrist and 3) Plantar Fasciitis support socks. You can buy them single or in a pair. I know they look pricey, but they honestly do work. So much so that my chiropractor is now recommending them to his other patients with foot pain. You wash them in the sink and hang them to dry overnight and wear them under other socks to keep them clean. She may have to "break into them" by wearing for longer and longer periods of time, but anytime my feet act up now, this is my go to thing! http://www.amazon.com/Sleeves-Plantar-Fasciitis-Compression-Women/dp/B00RJUU7Q6/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1451445673&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=plantar+fasciitis&psc=1
