Monday Check-In

Well those two holidays are over and I suppose we all survived. Hopefully all had a good Christmas with the exception of WB since it looks like he ran into some issues. Hoping he's feeling better or headed to his Dr today.

I for one am glad its over and things can calm back down to normal. Only the taking down of decorations is left. I don't participant in the New year's eve celebration and am generally fast asleep when the New Year arrives. I leave that party to the younger generation.

Prayers for Texas and those who have been effected by the tornadoes and now I believe Mississippi and Louisiana are getting hit with some heavy weather as well. Here in Florida we are just breaking heat records all last week and heading into this the New Year.

Welcome to the new members and this is Monday check-in where we all meet to share how our weekend was and what the week ahead holds for you. Not sure how many appointments and procedures are scheduled in this second short week ahead. Prayers to our members who are post op and healing.

The 'post holiday frenzy' has begun here. "Candyland" is back in the storage containers and my New Years decorations are up! I think I'm the only person in the trailer park that does this! There isn't much on the market for outdoor decorations since it's usually freezing here. I took advantage of 60+ degree weather to make the transition!

I'm paying for it all with pain, but it's so nice to look out at all of the silver and white ornaments and the huge lighted ball, reminiscent of the one in Times Square, dangling from the top of the arch that marks the entrance to my lot. I go to dinner with my gf and her mom, but none of us stays up to watch the ball drop.

I need to rest up for the January White Sales!

I'm still having issues with my upper back and back side of right arm into hand. Called my PCP first thing this morning he is off this week and won't be back till the fourth! Secretary said he was booked full all that next week, so she had me talk with his nurse and I explained my situation and she agreed I should be seen as soon as he gets back, so they are squeezing me in on the fourth. She thought I should probably go to the ER (but that won't happen unless I get a whole heck of allot worse!) I have just had to many bad experiences with ER's! I am convinced the only way to get prompt and proper service from an ER is arriving by ambulance and even that can be iffy! Just my opinion of course from my experiences! Anyway I will tough it out until then! I figure it will either get worse or get better or just stay about the same as it is now! Until then I'll be extremely careful on what I do.

New Years can be a replay of Christmas I guess but hopefully without also being sick to my stomach! LOL
