When to call doctor

Char are you sure its the med? It doesn't sound like something an increase would cause or at least one a muscle relaxer would however if its a benzo I would suggest stopping that increase immediately and get yourself to the Dr.

Yes its a cyclobenaprine...5 to 7.5mgs.
I'm very sensative to medications...

You can go to Drugs.com & it will have a list of potential side effects. I have never heard of a muscle relaxer drying up someone's nose either, but I guess anything is possible. Hopefully the dr will call you back before he/she leaves for the day.

Can you go back to the former dosage and see if these symptoms persist?

Waking up gasping for air doesn't seem like something you want to continue for another night...

I really would not take anything that caused any respiratory issues Char. So far you've been lucky enough to wake up gasping for air!! All scheduled meds continue to build up blood serum levels and with the increasing levels comes the greater risk of side effects. There's no determining why a medication you have been on would suddenly cause these types of problems but they can and you seem sure it's the culprit. I again am not sure why you would have withdrawal issues with it either but they can't possibly be more detrimental than breathing issues.

While it does sound like a pretty big attack for sjrogen's, it can be a pretty harsh disease. It can affect organs, tissues, and nerves, but I tend to think of it more as an annoyance when compared to the rest of my medical assortment tray. But for some, sjrogren's becomes a huge medical issue.

This might come off the wrong way, but I kinda hope it's a med interaction. That's a much quicker fix than having it be a disease complication.

Let us know how it goes. If you feel like you are sliding downhill don't hesitate to bother that Dr on call. Annoy them, bug them, and stalk them if necessary :) Just don't get to the point where a restraining order might be necessary. I might consider bailing out of jail if necessary :)

Got a new muscle relaxer to try and will see the doctor again in 4 weeks, busy week for me, RA doctor is on Thursday, see attorney on Friday and the hopefully a movie to nicely round out the week and the in coming cold weather is/has me hurting and inflamed everywhere...
It's still Winter and are we in Texas going to feel it this week! Heads up cold front tomorrow...cold, I will bake a pie! Blueberry, yum!
