When you can't hide the pain...

Hang in there BunnyGirl86. Until very recently I too hobbled around the office using a cane and whatever else I could find to prop myself up on and it was un-nerving sometimes but I think that I was more self conscious about it than anything. I am sure that there are people who you work with who admire your determination and work ethic especially faced with a disability that causes you pain and challenges that few understand. It is not easy to have a professional life while having a disability but it is worth it in my opinion if you still have a quality of life after work.

Very sorry the myelogram gave you such and increase in pain, if doctor's only knew how badly these tests hurt. I need a new MRI this year and I will be asking for some valium to get through it otherwise my pain levels will go off the charts for a few days, too...for me it's my legs as soon as the put them up over the cushion the pain begins.
On the other things I agree with Don, I also use a cane. However, the cane helps if I get off balance, use your cane with pride and please do not think what people could be saying as they might not be thinking that, most people are too caught up in their own life struggles, you'd probably be shocked by what they are thinking...Do what you need to for you and stay strong...
