Some my friends told me about Detensor back traction device? It looks very interesting, but I would like to talk with people who already try it. Please reply ASAP.

I haven't heard about it but would be interested in learning about it. I am wondering if it is a gravity inversion type of device?

As you can see, I'll ask about Detensor, and I am not familiar with it, but it is certainly not inversion table and in general this is a link that was sent to me by my friend. Please update me when you'll take a look.

Hello & welcome to Healing Well & the chronic pain forum. I have not heard of this either but I did check out the web site & was not impressed with what I saw. about the only thing I saw there that would change things is your wallet would be lighter & physically you would not probably be any better off.

What sort of medical problems do you have going on & what type of treatment have you had? Have you had any type of testing such as an MRI Scan, if so what was the findings? Sorry for the questions just trying to figure out what you have going on.

I have broken disc and one friend of mine had same diagnosis, but according to him was treated this way. I cannot decide what to do, but I know him for a long time and trust him.

I am not sure what you mean by a broken disc, thats not a term I am familiar with. Just because your friend says he got relief that does not mean the same will happen with you. Keep in mind chronic pain is a very individual thing & no 2 people are alike. Like I said, more than likely the only thing you will feel is a lighter wallet. After over 20 some years of living with chronic pain & having treatment, these cures & fixes many try to push are worthless. I have better things to do with my money than blow it on something that is not going to work, I can always invest in some snake oil I suppose.

Thank you very much, but you know always trying to find some ideal solution. Maybe you are not familiar with that device because it was not selling in US? But their European patients and some Americans also saying that this is not a miracle, but veru much helpful. I don't know. If somebody else had any knowledges and/or experience with Detensor, please don't hesitate to share it with me.

Foam mats & matresses for as much as $2,100! I'd say definitely a outrageous scam. Hang onto your pocketbook! Anyone who claims this as a miracle product got took.

I put this product in the same category as Laser Spine Institute for value in terms of benefit to the spine, both worthless.

Justin, I do not think you are stupid by any means & neither do the others. If anything you are probably having quite a bit of pain & ready to try anything to get relief. We have all been there before.

Hello, so I would like to update everyone that has been kind enough to give me some advice on my current back problem. I have been using the Detensor traction mat for about 2 weeks now. I would like to say that after I received it and got to feel it and see it, I too started to become a little skeptical about the effectiveness.

After a couple sessions I felt like something was changing but not much improvement. I could not pinpoint it. It was only after about a week and a half that I started to feel relief to where I can actually get out of bed like a normal person. Or at least I would say so. The pain is not completely gone but has become bearable. I can not say that the device fully works and is a miracle but I can say that it has had a significant change for the better. I will keep everyone updated as I continue to use it.

I have about 2 weeks left before their satisfaction guarantee expires so I would like to test it some more but I don’t feel like I will be returning it as the pain has decreased and that alone was worth the $1000.00 spent.

Hello friends, as promised I would like to update the few that have been following my post. I have been using the Detensor traction mat for about a month and half now and would like to say that the relief continued. Although i encounter pain at times, I feel like a regained my mobility. As mentioned before I was a little skeptical at first and as I was receiving response from others it only increased but I kept an open mind and forced myself to continue with sessions. I figured what did I have to loose since I already spent the money and I think that was the best decision I have made in my life. I am still not sure how this thing fully works but by spending an hour and a half a day, I am able to perform daily activities and most of all take part in my children's physical activities. I believe that this device is leading me on the right path and will continue to update everyone from time to time. Thank you for all of the help I received and hopefully my story can help someone too.

Dear Colleagues! Over the past six months, I received an unexpected result! Cure my herniated spinal disc and corrected my posture. Now people are looking at me, saying that he had swallowed a stick!
But the most important thing - I did not have a sore back, again, I can play sports and do not be afraid.

I am happy with Detensor for 100%! Just one bad thing - I found it on Amazon for very low price! Unfortunately it is too late for me to return what I purchased for much higher...

That is encouraging that you have found definite benefit with the traction and lessening of your pain. It worked for you, and that is what is most important.

My sense is that the traction provided enough distraction of your involved vertebrae that the extruded disc material was able to recede and go back into place. This is the premise of passive traction used by physical therapists for cervical vertebral disc protrusions of mild effect. Lumbar traction is typically less effective owing to the amount of force necessary to promote needed distraction between vertebrae and the centrifugal force to ease disc material inward, restoring normal disc placement. But lumbar traction does have benefit for some. And you appear to be someone who benefited from lumbar traction with significant easing of symptoms. That is a win-win.

When I was a newly minted physical therapist, it was often the case that a person with a new onset of sciatica was hospitalized for a week to 10 days for bed rest with lumbar traction + muscle relaxants. The treatment was based in supporting the body’s natural healing with time. Many disc protrusions, especially lumbar protrusions, will recede naturally with time and rest and easing of muscle spasm.
