I haven't been around in a while so hey yall. I just got a new MRI of my low back and...ugh?!?! Has anyone else had marrow changes? Here is my MRI report:
FINDINGS: Mild patchy fatty marrow replacement. Disc desiccation with
preservation of disc height from L3 to S1. The conus ends at L1-L2. Posterior
annular fissures are noted from L3 to S1.
L3-L4: Shallow central protrusion with mild narrowing of the central canal.
Thickening/unfolding of the ligamentum flavum.
L4-L5: Broad-based disc bulge eccentric to the left, facet osteophyte, and
thickening/unfolding of the ligamentum flavum. Mild narrowing of the central
canal and left lateral recess.
L5-S1: Shallow central protrusion largely contained in the fat ventral to the
thecal sac, without significant narrowing of the central canal. Bilateral facet
hypertrophy.
On the right, there are mild L3-L4, mild L4-L5, and mild to moderate L5-S1
foraminal stenoses. On the left, there are mild to moderate L4-L5 and mild to
moderate L5-S1 foraminal stenoses. The central canal, lateral recesses, and
neural foramina in the lumbar spine are otherwise negative. Vertebral body
height, alignment, marrow, conus, cauda equina, and paraspinal musculature are
otherwise negative within the limitations of technique. The visualized aorta is
normal in caliber. Sacroiliac joints are patent. No hydronephrosis.
IMPRESSION-
1. Mild to moderate degenerative changes without neural impingement.
