Has anyone ever tried cbd to help with chronic pain?

Be sure it is legal in your state. If you are receiving opiates for pain, be sure you ask your doctor his position on it Before you try it.

CBD is an active ingredient in Marijuana.

My pain doc would never prescribe it.

Alcie, many doctors won't prescribe it. Doctors have to go by Federal and State Laws when prescribing drugs. Federal Law still states Marijuana and it's properties are classified as a Schedule I. That means they have no medical use. Even though some State Laws have changed and it is legal in some states, Almost all doctors go by Federal Law regarding this.

Yes I have tried CBD oils and also smoking it . As it,s legal here in Canada.
I had some stomach problems with the oil and tried smoking the pot but did not really do any thing . So my doctor told me to try a mix of 9% CBD and 9 % THC still had stomach problems. So he tried 11% THC and it helps some . But it was not covered by my insurance and just could not afford the cost , so had to go back to drugs.
I have talked to lots of people and it does help them .

Spinal fusion after injury at work ad a paramedic. L2-S1 fused. I've been on Oxy 20 4 x a day and got myself off. Now on 5 percocet and butrans 20 patch a day. Anyone have any experience with the patch? What can I expect? It does seem to help but is there anything ling act8by that seems to work better for you? Yes I have medical experience but I've never tried this med and don't know much about it. Thanks

5 percocet 10s / day plus the butrans... To clarify.

Hi Medicmama & welcome to Healing Well. In the past we have had people post here that tried Butrans. Unfortunately, they were not successful with it. Some were put on it to help withdrawal symptoms while weaning off of a pain medication. Quite a few complained that the first 2-3 days they felt some pain relief but then it did nothing & they were switched to something else. Hopefully it will be something that works for you.

darn, I just made a post about this same thing. I've seen a lot of evidence for it being helpful for certain conditions but not all
