B, it is a very rare condition, about 4% in someone having this. From what I read at NIH there are two types, occurs after a tonsillectomy or the carotid artery type, due to the elongated styloid process impingement on the carotid sheath & compromising blood supply & sympathetic innervation. The Mayo Clinic has a forum for members with Eagle Syndrome. To make a dx they say a CT with 3D reconstruction is required, a regular CT will not work. I urge you to google this & read the article at NIH & Mayo Clinic. I know you are desperate for answers, most of us are, but I think you are right, another wild goose chase. Forums are great but we can't take everything we read as the gospel truth. A lot of people spend too much time googling symptoms trying to come with answers out of desperation. I don't do this, it's just too stressful & Dr. Google is rarely right. The internet is great when a person has a dx as long as they stick with medical sites such as the Mayo & NIH. There is too much inaccurate information on the net.
Good to hear from you.
