Hi Underwood. Glad you found us...sorry you need us.
If you do a search of the archives here, you will find other posts about Ulnar nerve damage. Please note it is spelled U L N A R, not picking on you for the misspell, just want you to be able to find the info.
I did not sever my ulnar nerve...crushed the elbow and dislocated mine...requiring transposition surgery.
Many others that have experienced what you have no longer post here, so you were wise to start your own thread. If you do read the older posts, don't post replies on them...you likely won't get responses and I wouldn't want you to think you were being ignored.
As to 'what if?'...try to take things one day at a time. The road ahead is long but the human body is amazing in what it can do and the adjustments we can make. I am right handed...it was my left ulnar nerve that was damaged. Sounds 'simple' right? Wrong! I worked as an assembly and production worker, where use of both arms/hands was required. I switched to cashiering...but then developed carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists!
I get it! This is a great place to not only get information...but to also vent!
