I had my usual appt on Monday. It’s always with a NP. She just writes down her general info. Never a question to me. I had to stop her and go over my concerns. After a very short discussion she and I think I need to go back to ortho for left shoulder. It has never been right even through 3 surgeries. Also told her I am planning on leaving work by end of year. Not sure if she is going to be much help with that. ☹️

On another note, we are heading out camping. It’s so hard to get the camper ready after work when you are hurting. Everyone have a great 4th.

B, just a thought, if this were me, I would not be telling any of my drs I am planning to work to the end of the year. The reason I say this is, if it gets put on your record, LTD will pick up on it & possibly use it against you. LTD can really be difficult depending on the group. Don't give them any ammo to use against you, this could make it look like you have been planning on going out. Continue with your appts & reiterate how your health is not good.

Enjoy your camping trip.I can't decide if I am going down to the lake or not. It's terribly hot here, not much shade at the cabin, lol. At home I have a patio cover with fans, lol.

Thanks. We had a very relaxing time. We rode a pontoon boat for hours on the Ms river. Then watched the fireworks from the boat. Best seats ever.

Work has been exhausting this week. I broke down and made appt with my shoulder doc. Something has got to give. Can’t stand to hold anything in that arm. Hurts just resting on arm rest while typing. I’m at my wits end. That will be next Friday. It was this week but had conflicts with work.

B, I am very fortunate with my NP. If I have an issue to pop up, she leaves the room & talks to the dr. She does not step out of bounds with his patients. Prior to her being hired, 2-3 hour waits were not uncommon. My dr was greatly over worked, she has been an asset to his practice. Two years ago he scaled back on patients. He is still taking new patients but he will only take people that has current diagnostics to warrant treatment.

I wish you luck with the shoulder doc. It's been a very long road for you. Out of curiosity, what does it take for you to get an appt with your PM dr & not the NP?

I opted to stay home & not go to the lake. It's just too hot for me.

The doc is only at the hospital. He is only doing the injections and implants. If i chose to do another injection I would see him about 2 minutes probably. It’s not the same as when I started. There is another center one hour away that has the neurosurgeon, pain management, physical medicine and so much more that Inhave used. You see doctors most of the time and if you see a NP they would discuss with dr as you mentioned. Great facility but not convenient for me.

Went to shoulder ortho today. Shot in collarbone area and bicep tendon. Full of inflammation. Back in two months. Always.
