I know some here have applied for disability. I thought this might be helpful to some.

"All local Social Security offices will be closed to the public for in-person service starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020. This decision protects the population we serve—older Americans and people with underlying medical conditions—and our employees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, we are still able to provide critical services"

I do not want to start another new topics. So hopefully those this applies to will see it here.

Medicare has expanded its approved uses for TeleMedicine. Information at the link below explains it. It is no longer restricted to rural areas. Patients do not have to be established with a doctor. This is Not only for those that suspect they have or have been diagnosed with COVID-19. It also covers routine matters.

To find out if your doctor uses Telemedicine and for instructions on how to connect with your doctors. Call your doctors offices.

Can you guys tell me if you can apply for unemployment while waiting on disability claim?

No, when filing for unemployment you are stating that you are capable of working. Remember with SSD you are stating you are unable to work.

Technically you can. But, you are stating you are able and willing to work. Some Administrative Law Judges will hold this against you and some will not.

The first thing I think when I hear someone has applied for unemployment and disability. is are they as disabled as they say they are. Remember saying you are disabled means it is more than difficult for you to work. When you apply for disability you are saying you cannot perform SGA.

That’s true. My brain is not working anymore. Another reason why I don’t need to be out there doing what I was doing. I put tide pod in dryer the other day. Forget I am cooking. Not good. Also, came within inches of an accident when I pulled out in front of someone. This is all so not me. I was the one you could count on to remember anything. Stress and pain has killed my brain. Hopefully removing some of the problem will help a little. I hope everyone is doing well in this pandemic. I am glad I am able to stay in. Today I am not feeling well. That’s unsettling.
