Hi again! Glad to read some of our tips helped you out. I understand what you are saying about the cost of replacing a mattress. A couple of more tips, check your posture, try to keep your spine as straight as possible, I was a sloucher when I was much younger, lol.
Consider going online & looking at mattress toppers. I ended up looking online at Walmart & ordered a 4 inch memory foam topper, not the gel type. I now wish I had bought the 2 inch one, the bed was already high & now I have to use a two step stool to get in & out of bed, which is not all that safe for me. A friend of ours gave this tip & it really has helped. I think it was $159 or $169. I did look on Amazon & just got too overwhelmed because there was just too many on there to look at. This will work until we have time to get serious about another new mattress.
If this nagging pain continues much longer, please go see your PCP, that would be the appropriate thing to do. I'm not saying you have something going on, but he/she can order a regular xray for your back to check some things out. I think you mentioned a chiropractor did an xray, chiros have their own way of interpreting xrays which is not the same as a qualified trained radiologist. I'm not ragging the chiro, just saying.
Take care.
