oh the frustration

Do make a really long story short, In ONE conversation I was told by an ER doctor (i was there for a dislocated jaw), that I am a drug addict and that its all in my head. And those were his words exactly. Its soo stinking frustrating. I just going to

quit going to the ER. I HATE doctors, they think soo much of themselves. And if they don't know what the problem is, its always the patients fault. My doctor, "i've done this 10 years and never heard of this' (this being a dislocation after eminectomy surgery.) all this while my jaw is pushed to the side of my face.

Why does this have to be soo difficult.

I have a question for you. Does your hospital have a patient advocate person? If so, please contact this person, preferably in person and file a complaint against the dr that said that to you. The advocate is a neutral person an and they do get both sides of the story. I had to use one once and she was a blessing. She called the dr and had him meet us in my husbands room. He took one look at me and started screaming, shaking his finger in my face, normally I would hit someone if they did this to me, not this time, I wanted her to see this dr in action and boy did she ever. He was all but foaming at the mouth. After he went out of the room screeching something, she applauded me for keeping my cool during the onslaught. Apparently, that goes along ways with the board. There was a meeting with the administrator and all, I do not know the final results. She could not divulge that info to me. I did learn that this was not his 1st complaint. Go to the administrator-do not let this slide. Susie
