Update

Hi, Shelter! I'm so sorry you are having so many problems right now. It really comes in "bunches, doesn't it? You need to try to relax a little, and I know that's difficult if you are dealing with a family member who is suicidal! I've been there and done that! It is an extremely stressful time and the stress will increase your pain. Stress is fear and fear has never solved a single problem. I really try not to allow fear, especially in the guise of stress and anxiety, to take over and it has really helped me. That's why I have the scripture in my signature.

Does your son live with you or near to you? The family member I was trying to help lived a couple of hundred of miles away from me. I sent them "care packages" every couple of weeks with favorite snacks that supplied nutrition in them. (Things with peanut butter, nuts, et.) This person was not eating but I knew would eat the snacks. I also wrote a letter every day with the positive things that were happening with the people he knew and cared about. He knew I really cared and loved him, too. That's really important! I also had to overlook certain things that were said and actions that were taken by this person because I knew they really weren't in their "right mind" at the time. And, one of the most important things I did was pray, without ceasing, for him. This person started getting a little better and I wasn't concerned about the suicide aspect then. I was then able to convince him to seek professional help. He did and responded beautifully!

We are here for you, Shelter, and will help any way we can. You do have to remember that you have really no control over other people and what they do. You only need to be there for them and let them know you love them. You really cant' do more than that. Being stressed out will only hurt you and it won't help your son at all. Try to relax and I'll pray that all works out well for you too.!

this has been a storm.... which i feel peace being spoken too

as for back pain
-- had a few days pain free
then yesterday from out of now where...
hip siatic pain again
limping
ice packs
thinking.. when will this ever stop
I know GOD is in CONTROL. been lsitneing to a song by that title....
and I know it will all work together for good
my son is respsonding well to new meds thus far...
we take one day at a time

I know all si welll- when I bake cookies
its my " thermostat to quality of life,"
my Depressometer...

lol
I learned many years ago that under stess........ I DONT bake
under stress.......... i loose interest in cooking and cleaning...
