Imuran

Anyone taking this?  what side effects have you had?? does it help??  Thanks

I was on Imuran for a little more than 2 years. To be honest with you, I'm not sure if it helped. A lot of research is now suggesting that it might not even really prevent antibodies from developing if you are also taking Remicade.

In my case, like everyone else, started out with 50. But I kept relapsing, and even after surgery, I was pushed up to 250. Didn't do anything. My blood tests showed that I wasn't even getting anywhere with it. For this reason, I urge regular blood tests to make sure you're not anemic or at risk for lymphoma, but also to make sure you're actually absorbing the drug...or else you could waste a lot of time the way I did.

I didn't have any side effects from it. My hair didn't thin out or anything, no nausea or tiredness except for it reached 250. Make sure to take folic acid with this med..I didn't and am sort of paying a price for it.

Hello,I ahve been on Imuran for over a year ,no side effects,and I can tell a huge differance by being on it,before Imuran,I would wake up,and "gag" every morning really bad,now I don't,I also started Humira in early October.
