Which hurts worse-- childbirth/blockage?

My vote is for blockages also I had 2 children naturally no drugs. During a blockage I have used a lamaze type breathing to get me through. The pain is very similar but with added vomiting and the fear factor I feel it overall makes it worse than childbirth. Plus my pain can also radiate to my chest and upper back that usually doesn't happen in childbirth

Yes, "Natural or prepared childbirth" was a term used in the late 60's -80's meaning drug free and educated about the birth process. They didn't have epidurals then. there wasn't much of a choice- it was either that or a spinal. Some hospitals did light inhalation anesthesia but the natural/prepared way was the way to go at that time.

In my experience childbirth was way worse. My colonosopy showed that I was almost completely blocked and bleeding and my symptoms were pretty mild. The Dr even commented on my pain tolerance. I dont think I have a high tolerance at all b/c I literally thought I was going to die while giving birth to my daughter (not so much with my son).
I think everyone is different and has such different symptoms and different childbirths so its hard to compare the two.

Well I have had natural childbirth, ouch, obstructions, real ouch but the worst was a when I perforated, there was not enough morphine in the world for that.  I layed in the hospital for 4 days as they did not know I was perforated, ended up getting parentinitis and having two surgeries in two days just to clean it all out, plus a resection, that is the worst pain yet, actually praying for death at the time and almost got my wish.  On Humira now and hopefully never have to go thru that again.
