So, I go to the bathroom about
five to seven times a day and it's not well formed but not loose enough to call it D... it's just poo..
but the more I go, the more my bottom hurts and burns. I don't know how to describe it, I'm not rubbing it raw when I wipe. And I've started to apply lotion since it's getting so bad that walking, standing, and sitting are all uncomfortable for about
an hour afterwards. The pain seems to be located in the anal area not on the cheeks.. I'm not sure how I should handle this. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you could have some fissures...hot sitz baths with plenty of epsom salts (it won't sting, it'll relieve and help heal) and then pat completely dry and rub a little extra virgine olive oil, a natural antibacterial and antifungal, it's very soothing.

when i had my fissures the cream they gave me was basically hydrocortizone cream, just stronger than what you would buy at the store. maybe try some of that?

and if you're using regular toilet paper, switch to toddler wipes or the preparation H wipes. (both are septic and sewer safe). It helps a LOT. I have had surgeries and now fissures, the wipes are a Godsend.

I have that problem too. Seems like no matter how much I clean myself, even a shower, an hour after I have a bm my anus burns and itches so bad. I'll go and clean myself again and there is stool there. Sometimes I think I'm leaking between bowel movements. Either from a fistula or because I don't have as much muscle control since my surgery.
I use prep h supp too. Works really well at night. And during the day I use wipes with extra bathroom runs.

Try using Calmoseptine on your bottom; it helps to protect your skin from any drainage. Also, like noted above, hot baths!

Has anyone tried Bag Balm.? It worked the best on my children when they got rashes as babies and I am considering trying it for the pain. Let me know if any of you have tried it and it works. It is in a square green can and has a picture of a cow on it as they use it on cows utters. However, I always found it in the baby isle. Of coarse, my youngest is thirteen now so I'm not sure I'll even be able to find it, but I'm really in a lot of pain and wet wipes and preparation H are not helping me.

Ask your doctor about
canasa suppositories. They are mesalamine 1000mg and work great. Warm soaks, tucks and triple paste(which is a diaper rash cream, expensive but worth it.)

Baf Balm is still around. I find it at Target or Wallgreens. It is good stuff but my choice is called Desitin Creamy. It is very gentle and soothing and cooling(not sticky like Bag balm)
I find the burning I get occurs when I bleed. Blood is very rough on skin even a little if it is left to sit there.
Feel better.

After I wash down there or use baby wipes, I dry myself with my hair dryer. Too much moisture is not good. I also use rosebud salve(Sephora) on my anal area. It's very soothing.

I use the prep H wipes and sometimes will take a paper towel and put cold water on it and just hold it there to help the pain/itching. I tried the suppositories and they help a lot. I think you should probably let your doctor know so you can know why it is reacting that way. Best of luck to you!!
