Anyone here feel colder?

Does anyone here feel colder than usual when their digestive system is acting up? That has always been one of my symptoms when my upper GI area acts up. It is like all the blood is going to my stomach even when there is no food in there.

I get the same way. Whenever i start to get cold out of nowhere i know that very shortly the abdomen pain will start so i try to brace myself sad .

this has come up before and I remember many of us tended to have lower temps and suffer with the cold

I was just officially diagnosed about a week ago but have had symptoms off and on for a long time. I know I get really cold for no reason and my hands get cold and dry. I thought abought that today how I think its related to the crohn's.

When I was really sick and had an abscess before I was diagnosed, I was so cold that I'd literally cry. It was insane! It was winter and I was living in a cold climate, and I remember coming home from work each night and literally putting on 4 layers of clothes and laying in bed under the covers just to try to stop the shivering. If I was too cold, I couldn't think straight. It was incredibly miserable.

I tend to run at a lower temp too, and I'm usually cold--my Florida blood can't handle winter. But I can tell when I'm about to get a fever because I start to feel so cold that I shiver. It starts even a couple hours before my temp rises, so I can anticipate a fever. I've had some mild GI discomfort since last night, and today I've been getting that feeling...My temp went up a little. Some exercise and de-stressing helped me, at least temporarily. When I actually have a fever no amount of clothing can stop the shivering, it lasts for hours. Really scared my husband when it happened during the night and woke him from sleeping.

Fevers suck. The oh-no-here-it-comes feeling right before the violent chills commence...folding yourself like a burrito into 223 fleece blankets because you're so cold, even though you're not supposed to because it will only make the fever higher...man, it's miserable. My last fever was high for two days (vomiting, diarrhea, you know the drill) and I had drenching sweats every time I woke up from naps. I went through like six pairs of clothes in two days, blech!

I do find myself cold all the time normally. Something tells me my shrinking body mass might have something to do with it. So can malnutrition. So I've taken to wearing long johns under my yoga pants, plus two long-john tops and a sweater. That's when I feel comfy. Yes, even here in the desert! Drink warm fluids as frequently as possible, that will help.
