Hi Everybody!

I am from Brazil and I am taking Pentasa, my doubt is. Is Pentasa so expensive in USA as here in Brazil, I checked and a box with 50 pills costs something like $300.00, and I need 5 of these by month.

I live in Canada. I pay $128 Cdn for 180, 500 mg tablets. (Actually my insurance covers it, that is what the pharmacy charges, including the dispensing fee.

My insurance hasn't covered my Pentasa yet. My GI's office gave me samples until they can see if my insurance will authorize it. Its very frustrating.

"240 capsules $193.99" That's actually pretty cheap. For Pentasa, at least. Without my insurance I think they'd charge me $500US for it.

I get my drugs paid for by work work drug plan here in Canada. I get a two month supply at a time 480, 500 mg and it's costs them $332 including the pharmacy dispensing fee.

I just filled my first 30 day supply (I was living off of samples).  Mine was 120 pills for $188, I had to pay $44 which isnt bad considering what it could be but its sad when you have to budget for medicine!  Cant wait til there is a generic for it!

My husband pay $10.00 co-pay for 240. I don't know what we be paying with out our insurance.

My husband was taken off Pentasa. I know we are not to give out pills to anyone.

Using this forum to trade, give or sell prescription medications to another is forbidden. That is a violation of state and US federal laws.

In the US, you can apply for the Patient Assistance Program from the manufacturer of Pentasa, and if qualified, you can get a discount. Go to Pentasausa.com. I don't know what you do in Brazil, but I suggest that you check out the pharmaceutical site and see if you can get some help. Good luck
