Well, i had 5 inches of my illium taken out, as well as the appendix and a fistula. The fistula scared me, becuase no one knew it was there! after all the CT scans, xrays, scopes, it wasn't until my surgen
opened me up and went "Oh look at that". >.<
So I was sewn up with 4 retention tubes and 25 stapples. In the hospital for about a week, sent home. 2 weeks later, I'm back in the hospital with an infection. Big ol' puss pocket around the resection. In the hospital for about a week, then sent home on antibiotics on a thursaday, and started vomiting on saturday. So sunday morning, it's back to the hospital.
In the ER, i blacked out, and according to my mom, i started yelling and trying to rip out my IV (ended up getting a pic line, since my veins all went into hiding). Many theories on why I was so out of it, but we're still not sure why. What we did find out was Flagyl and I don't mix, thus the puke-fest. So here I sit in the hospital, waiting on another CT scan tomorrow. If there's no fistula, i can start eating again.
I tell ya, this has been an adventure. But you know what? No CD pain!!!! I feel so different. And believe me, i'm making a list of all the food i want to eat when I get to regular food again.
