Recently I've been suffering with the above problem. I'm post menopausal and have been for sometime, but this ache
is just like bad period pains. I have none of the usual LLQ or LRQ, well maybe a twinge here and there. The other problem
this is all accompanied with a 100+ fever.
I had my loading dose of Humira 3 weeks ago, my next 2 shots are on the 8th.
So I guess my question is, are these feelings common with Humira? Or is this flare displaying itself this way?
BTW has anyone else been experiencing palpitations since taking Humira? This is something else that's getting out of hand...

I'm on remicade, and not humira, but I always experience back pain after an infusion. I blame it on my kidneys, as that seems to be the basic
location of most of the pain. I don't know about
the pelvic pain though... The kidney pain usually lasts about
a week, and as long as I stay hydrated - that's about
the worst of it. I don't know if humira causes kidney pain, but that would be my guess... Not sure about
the fever...
hope you feel better soon!

Could it be a kidney stone and/or urinary tract infection? I have had them with back pain and pelvic area pain. . . the fever could be due to an infection. I would call the dr. if I were you just to rule it out. I hope you feel better soon!

Hi, I've had kidney stones in the past, and this is not the same. This is almost a heaviness in the pelvic region.....

Low pelvic and back pain (dull ache...kinda like before you start your period) has always been part of my CD symptoms. Pain is more prevalent when I have a low grade fever. Fevers come and go. I had the back/pelvic pain even prior to remicade and still have it sometimes with humira. Unless my fever starts climbing around 101 I usually just ignore mine and take a percocet (have benzene intolerance so can't do straight Tylenol). Pelvic/back pain is worse for me the longer I am on my feet. Just worked a 10 hr. work day today....the first in a longgggg time and the pain is there tonight!

Yea Hilda, you got it in one, that's exactly how it is!. My fever has been continuous around 100.6. Doesn't seem to want to let go.
It's given me a darn headache along with it.
I guess I'll hang on until my next shots and see how it goes...

Vicky, I know you say that you are post menopausal, but do your still have your uterus? If so, you could be developing a problem with it. Perhaps a pelvic/uterine infection because of the fever and all? I am on Humira for going on two years now and have not had any of the symptoms you describe.

Dunny- Give the Humira awhile to work...it's taken me about
3-4 months to get in my system good enough to allow me to reduce my prednisone. However, my CD is moderate to severe. They recently put me on natural HRT for the peri menopausal symptoms i.e., also related to low back/pelvic pain and guess what....I just started my period 10 days early again! I wonder if this is going to be yet another month I'll bleed for 3 weeks! Humira has been good to me even though I have to take 40mg every week versus most people's dosage which is bi-weekly after the initial loading doses. I like it a whole lot better than the Remicade. I'm already a witch because of the "change". I can do without the mouse protein in Remicade! Keep me posted on how things are going!
