laparoscopic surgery

I had two done in 06 and it is easier on one than a big incision. the only thing I noticed was it still hurts a lot inside. my doc said it is because they have to pull things way out of place when they go through a small hole. I would certainly, however, always chose it if possible. scar-wise it is far better!

I think it really depends on what you're having done. I've had two, and both were for endometriosis. The first one I was home that day - the surgery was even in an outpatient clinic. But the second one, in April of last year, was far more extensive. I had a specialized surgeon and he moved things around and tied stuff up and took out my appendix. I was in so much pain they kept me overnight. And it took me a few weeks to get totally back up to speed. So it really depends on what they are going to do in there. Wish you the best!
