Rectal pain and pressure

I'm looking for advice on what to do for constant rectal pain and pressure.  Sitz baths are not very convenient, although they do help.  I have a fissure that will not go away so I'm guessing this is what my problems are from.  Vicodin does help, but I don't want to rely on it all the time.  But sometimes, after I go to the bathroom, I can't sit still, I can't lay down...nothing but a constant urge to try and keep going to the bathroom.  Can anyone relate????  What do you do for this pia, (Pain in the a**)

I was told my significant amount of pain before, durring anf ater going to the bathroom was from rather large hemroids.

Since switching to the Makers Diet I no longer have those pains, I now go to the bathroom once a day, sometimes twice with no pain, everything is normal.

I hope you find relief.

Make your doc give you cortifoam, give it time and you will notice it heal up the proctitis and possibly even the anal skin tags...if she doesn't find a doc that will, your GI should know that cortifoam is also used to help treat anal skin tags.

WantRelief - I agree with PB4, you need to get rectal meds, I had the same symptoms and didn't get medical attention for it for quite sometime and it got progressively worse and then took longer to get better.  I am using cortisone suppositories, I found them a bit easier to use then the mesalamine one and I had such bad inflamation I couldn't use the cortifoam.  You do have to use the suppositories for a while before you see any improvement, and use them faithfully, don't skip doses.  Good luck, I completely understand what a pain in the butt it is.  Literally. - MB
