Post op and menstrual cycle

Hi All,

I am wondering if any of you, ladies, missed your period after a bowel resection. I had my operation almost a month ago, and I'm a week late. I am NEVER late.

Didn't have one for 4 months after surgery! It was wonderful! You've just been through a tremendous amount of physical stress...It's going to take several months before your body figures out that it's not whacked out anymore. Of course if you are of prime childbearing age...I'm assuming you haven't had sex since surgery...

lol at broomhilda! that sounds wonderful. I've had my first cycle since my ostomy and its not like it usually is. i'm just assuming my body is adjusting
