I will be having a bowel resection next month, and I'm getting nervous about
the surgery. I'm perhaps equally as nervous about
the bowel prep though!
Can I ask how bad the bowel prep is for those that have undergone it?
I currently deal with very severe intestinal cramps, so I'm scared and apprehensive that the bowel prep will cause even more severe cramps. Or, does the bowel prep not cause much cramping? During your bowel preps, did you experiece any intestinal cramping?
I will be taking 4 Dulcolax followed by the several bottles of the phosphosoda. Has anyone followed this regimen for a bowel prep? If so, how did your body react to it?
Does anyone have any tips on how I can make the phosposoda more pallitable? I remember that someone once wrote that she mixed the phosphosoda in ginger ale, but I can't remember if she said the ginger ale helped or not.
Any advice, suggestions, and feedback will be greatly appreciated by me - and by my gut
Thanks everyone. I really appreciate it.
