Hi! I had severe pancreatitis about
6 years ago (I do not have crohns or any other IBD, just to let you know). It started with severe upper abdominal pain, and by about
24 hours later, I could not keep anything down--vomitting like crazy, and I mean INSTANTLY after eating/drinkgin/or even sipping on anything!
Mine was the result of gallbladder stone stuck in the duct that connects the gallbladder and the pancreas. Was hospitalized for about 5 days, while they took blood every day to see if my pancreas "calmed down" so that they could remove gallbladder. During that time I was not allowed to swallow anything! I had an ice cup and and a spit cup; well and IV meds ofcourse!
