Anybody ever had Pancreatitis?

oh ps: this is why Im wondering I wrote a post a week or so ago about my symptoms

severe nausea, terrible upper gastric/stomach pain sometimes in my left upper side and it is crippling..I have to breathe through it, most of the time the pain occurs out of nowhere but I notice its worse after eating and worse when Ive been laying flat or standing too much/walking

Mine was caused by having an ERCP done (liver test).  When I woke up from the test and said my stomach hurt, they told me I probably had pancreatitis as a side effect, but I convinced them to let me go home, that I would be fine.  Late that night, I started vomiting A LOT.  My stomach hurt so bad (right in the middle) and my abs contracted so tightly to where I was bent forward and could NOT straighten up.  My husband called the GI on call, who said to go to the ER, as it was most likely pancreatitis.  I told them right away what I had and they gave me a huge dose of morphine and pushed me back when I told them I couldn't lay back because I couldn't straighten up my abs.  I ended up vomiting 28 times that night/early morning (yes, I counted because they kept asking how many times I had vomited) and was sent to the hospital for 3 1/2 days.  No food or water allowed at all until the 3rd night (then popsicles and ice chips only).  That calmed things down and I was allowed to eat the morning of the 4th day and then go home.  It is by far the worst pain I have ever experienced and I do not normally vomit, so 28 times is more than I've probably ever done in my life combined! 

I have similar question about crohn's/pancreatitis diagnosis.I have had irritable bowel my whole life since childhood.last winter I got really sick and lots of pain in upper left side and lower.ended up having h pylori.doc said I needed to have other tests.then also said I prob just have the most severe case of IBS.then things have progressed this whole past yr with basically ending my social life and my only visists outside of my room are the bathroom,drs office,and er's.then the whole wk of christmas I was hospitalized from er with being told cat scan showed I had crohns.then hospital drs said looked like I have had it for past yr and progressed from first cat scan yr ago(which they never told me about).but then they did other tests to check gallbladder,etc complete workup.said I didn't have it but the doc that discharged me said he was bothered and concerned by the cat scan that showed it even tho the other tests were normal.sent home on morphine(dilaudid).(I also take donnatol ext for ibs).ok.so then I had more tests incl the caps endoscopy.all came back fine.I read reports and even tho they say fine,I looked up some of terms and everything points to ibd like swelling,inflam of diff areas.anyway so then my doc is chuckling to himself and sayd I prob could have sm bowel scope but he's "sure" it will come back normal.then never even scheduled it til I put in complaint w/my p.doc and patient advoc.also he said its possible I might have chronic pancreatitis cuz I started having sever pain in upper middle.I have had naseau and severe pain and weight loss since dec.maybe before but that's when everything exploded for me.so now im waiting on date for both last 2 tests also he said he could take out gallbladder but chose not too and now being sent to pain center.the past yr has completely ruined my life aside from other prob.and lawyer said I should apply for dis.which I did and waiting.but....any input on my stuff I just mentioned would be helpful.I do my research and am usually correct on my hunches if u wanna call em that.but looking to see if anyone can tell me something I might have missed.thanks

Oh yea what would make your cat scan show u have crohns and that your ileum is enlarged and not "working"and then all other tests say know.I mean when that haappen they wouldn't let me eat or drink anything in hospital and I was on clear diet 4 out of the 5 days.and I still have that pain in middle area by belly button but then the upper middle pain started as well.and that one doc was concerned about that but no one else was.so I don't know.I wish I had insurance so I could change docs.
