Weird ? I know !

But my docs birthday was today...I will see him on Wednesday and I thought it would be nice to make him a dessert for his birthday but something funny...ya know  ..that looks like a colon ( yuk ! ) a clean one of course !

or a polyp ...or ..um I dont know ..but i thought what better folks to ask but the HW crowd !

Any takers ??? any ideas ???

LOL. I gave my gastro chocolate covered prunes one year :-).

Would a really sloppy chocolate mousse work, Marie? I'll leave it to you to imagine what it looks like.

My Aunt & Uncle had a 50th birthday party years ago with a specialty cake made to look like cow poo. Man...it looked SO REAL! Yellow cake...chocolate icing...and plastic FLIES all over it! HA! So there you go...a pile of chocolate "POO" cake! (gross)

I've seen ones in the womens magazines for snakes. They could be turned into intestines with some coloring changes. I'm sure if you surfed on Women's Day, Goodhousekeeping, Family Circle one of those you would find something you could adapt.

I know this will sound silly, but what about a cake in the shape of something thats not good to eat with Crohn's ... for instance: a cake in the shape of an ear of corn! Its basically a yellow sheet cake cut in to a stalk, with some green/yellow icing!

Or .. haha, you could do a cake in the shape of a pill, ie: Prednisone. That would be easy too.

TRUE chocolate pudding could work. Thick enough to be molded & keep the shape. Rich enough to cause the REAL by-product! LOL

I had a butt cake made for my doctor once for his bday,it was hillarious,I even put sparklers in the "crack".he laughed sooo hard!!!

You guys are great! I am so thankful to have found this forum! I am laughing so hard! I was thinking, as I missed my doc's b-day, the choc. covered prunes would make a great gift at any point! LOL!

You should just get an ostomy bag and fill it with melted chocolate ice cream.

oh my gosh ! I laughed so hard !
but what I didnt say was that it is a lunch day here at work ...which is where he will be - so, everyone will SEE this cake - the thought of that alone grosses me out!

I don't think I could do a poop cake ; and the butt cake would show them a side of me they have yet to see !! LOL

I dont know - keep coming with the ideas - today is my deadline !

an easy way to make intestines would be good ....but I need HELP

My Mom actually heard him laughing out in the waiting room,oh yeah,I also went to Spencers once and bought him gummy butts. My GI is hillarious,we have the same sense of humor.Actually other doctors that I know,and nurses,have said that we could never work together,haha!!!

The grocery store near me will make bunnies and such using cupcakes. You can ice each cupcake the color you need and then create your picture be it a cute puppy or a colon. Or if you are good at free hand stuff just bake a sheet cake and draw it on with icing. Oh--or what about fondant? You can create amazing things with that stuff!!!--think Ace of Cakes.

Just bake a regular cake, but present it to him in a bedpan. You can get one at any medical supply store.

Just buttin' in here, but I make cakes for a living. If you're not done with the cake you can make intestines with a #10 tip, and very fluffy icing... Me, I'd make a 9 x 13 into a torso and put the stomach, Liver and intestines on it with the ascending and transverse and descending colons... That would be awesome! But that's me....

I'll bet he will love it no matter what you make. Hope it turns out well.
