ok i'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow and i've been on a liquid diet all day. I drank the first bottle of phospho soda 21/2 hrs. ago and nothing yet . How long does it take to make you start going?

It took about
an hour and a half - two hours for it to kick in for me. Drink A LOT of water - when you think you've had enough, drink more. It'll help things move along faster and it'll stop you from getting severely dehydrated.
Good luck!

I agree...lots of water!! It will help tremendously. Although when I did my colonoscopy the first time, I was already having so much diarrhea, it didn't matter!!

Yes, drink as much water as you can. If you are not in pain I would suggest moving around a bit, even if it is walking through your house. I didn't have anything for about
2 hours then it all kicked in.

The water stimulates the gut to start emptying, the phosphosoda needs the water to help it do it best job.
