I also get these same bumps on my chest, shoulders, arms, back, head, and face. Sometimes there are just a few, but sometimes I will breakout with a ton of them all over. My Rheumatologist took great notice of them and told me that she thinks that they are a form of Staph called folliculitis(spelleg may be wrong). I have been on so many different antibiotics for it, but since I was on Remicade and methotrexate, they would never really completely go away. Sometimes, I get really big ones that look like a big zit, but only have a red, sticky fluid that comes out of them.(I know, gross) My primary care told me that he thought that it was foliculitis too, because most of the bumps start around a hair folicule.
I also got another staph infection after my tonsilectomy that started with red bumps that turned into little sores that would not scab over. This turned out to be M.R.S.A, but we were able to treat it and stopped the infection before I needed to be hospitalized. This one rears its' evil little face still from time to time.
