First Solid in 6months!!!

Yeah! So i was ecstatic just now when i left the bathroom with my first solid poop in over 6months! Now i'm hoping that this keeps, the medication (been on it for a week) has actually increased my diarrhea slightly, but hopefully more solids are on their way!! By the way how long does Imuran & Entocort take to start being effective? I assume i'll see better results at the end of a month...?

Congratulations kal! I remember how excited I was about that after my surgery. Did you ever think that was something you would ecstatic about? LOL! Not me! I've been on entocort a couple of times and it always kicked in within a week for me, I hated going off of it each time because it was all good, no side effects. Imuran didn't have the effect we were hoping for when I started it, I had to have surgery sooner than was expected, but it seems to be working as a maintenance drug since the surgery. Hope that helps, and I think you should go out and celebrate tonight!

Thanks, I don't think i'd ever be this open about my bowels or excited about having a normal movement! lol But it's sooooooo nice!

Stupid me, when I read "first solid in six months", I thought , thank God the man finally gets to eat solid foods again. ! I read your post looking for what made you so excited, rice, banana, toast. Boy ! Goes to show you shouldn't be up at 4 am. reading posts...you may get them all wrong.
Congratulations on your first solid POO in 6 months. It's a red letter day. Mark it on the calendar and make sure you celebrate!!

maybe we should add that to the list... you may be a crohnnie if you take pictures of your poo? lol. Though the thought didn't occur to me. lol.

Oh and Marie-Clarie, just for the record I'm a woman. lol. (no offense taken though) I also am up way too late reading posts too! Thanks for giving me a chuckle though

Kal...yep! you're a girl....went back and read your signature. So sorry....just goes to show that you shouldn't be up reading posts at 3 am. especially if you're 51 and your eyesight is going. ! Hope those 'solids' are still keeping you happy. !

Kal, re-read your first post again....gosh, I'm really losing it....it cleary says "my first solid POOP" in over six months!!!!
Just a thought! Maybe I should make an appointment with the optomotrist asap!!!!!!!!

Your killing me Marie-Claire, lol, I haven't had this good a chuckle in days. I'm sure it's just the late nights, I get a little squirly eyed when i can't sleep and then I'm here on the board reading too. And man some of the posts are funnier when i read them wrong.
