Hey Sarita!!! HANG IN THERE! You are so close to done with this semester. I am so sorry you are feeling so crappy and hopefully you will only feel better tomorrow. Can you take some Immodium to get you through the next couple days? Do they have any idea what is going on with your urine yet? How frustrating!! Just know that you are an inspiration for so many. And like Gumby said, there is strength in admitting our limitations as well. But being at the end of my semester as well, with just papers and finals left, there is no way I would ever give up now. Remember, you are an inspiration to all the people that are just diagnosed wondering if it is possible to work or to go to school when you are having D. [Again, not knocking those that go on disability just saying that we all need a role model when we want to keep going!] I just keep reminding myself that it is the same every semester. Two weeks of total h-e-double hockey sticks and then SUMMMMMER. [Although for me, and probably you too, summer means work. But it means no homework!] Also, do what you can to get your sleep and study. For me, I work great late at night. So I stay up all night and then sleep in till 1 during reading week. And no worries about doing the patient exam. You have that down pat. You should leave a physicians desk reference or something in the other room and then if you have to go to the bathroom during it say "I want to get something to show you." Go to the bathroom, but come back with the book... and then show the patient something to do with their disease. My doc randomly shows me charts of the guts and I always wonder if he is just making an excuse to get out of the room for a minute. Maybe he has gas lol! Let us know how it goes!
