mouth sores

Hello,

I get mouth sores at times during a Crohn's flare.  They were like ulcers and very painful.  I would call your GI office and ask them what you should do.

Call the GI. Could be a Yeast infection. I think it's what they call Thrush. [Could be wrong though] Dentist could help so I would call both.

This happens to me a lot. Especially if I on preds.

Also I heard it can have something to do with a lack of vitiam C and potassium. I'm real unsure about that info.

I make a mouthwash that I rinse with that helps. Mix equal parts benadryl[sp] and immodium AD[I think I'll have to double check] Keep in frig.

Pharmacist can make it called magic mouthwash. They can put stuff in their mix that kill the thrush and numb the sores.

I hate it! when the sores go past my mouth and into the throat I lose my voice altogether. And it can cause bad acid reflux [if it's an infection]. I end up with a throat I would swear was strep. When this happens I call the ear, nose and throat.

Sorry hope it improves. Watch after you'r teeth. I get my teeth cleaned every 3 months as opposed to every 6 months.
