Hello All...I don't what I did before I found this wonderful forum!  Now for my question.  After a baruim swallow, I started a flare with all of the gurggling, extra trips to the bathroom and a pain in my right side.  It was not horrible, but it started as a pain in the right side and then acted like a "band" into my lower back that ached.  After being on Cipro a couple of days, it stopped and my trips to the bathroom were the best they have been in a LONG time.  It was great. 

Until yesterday, it started with an extra trip or two the the ladies room.  Then this morning, the pain is back with the loud gurggling.  I did speak with the Dr.  I am on liquids for the day and I will speak with them tomorrow.   My question is this.....could it be an ovarian cyst?  I have had a couple, one requiring surgery.  Yes, I will speak with the Dr. about it but....I can't get a GYN appointment until the end of the month.

I was just hoping to pick all of the knowledge filled brains here!

I don't know if ovarian cysts cause loud gurgling! It is confusing. I have a stricture in my ileum and I can never tell if it is my ileum or ovary that is hurting!

Gumby -- Thank you for your reply.  I think that the noise is from the Crohn's, I am just not sure of the other.  I am with you on not being able to tell what is what..That is where my Crohn's is active.  Again Thank you very much.

I have this EXACT pain you are talking about in the lower right side. I've had it since March and I am pretty positive it is a flare. Sometimes it switches over the my left side and to my back, etc. I also had alot of joint, back and leg pain. I had been concerned about it being something "else" as well but had a pap recently and an exam and all is ok. So it is certainly a flare, for me anyway. I can't see my GI until June 7 but have been going back and forth to my family doctor for advice and meds.

I don't no bout everyone but I had a cyst and it doubled me over so bad in less than a month I was having surgery. But if you think its a cyst they can do a ultrasound. They thought I was PG at first. Scared me to death. I was 42 and the thoughts of a baby, was not in my little world. lol

I know the pain you are talking about.  I get it during a flare. Since my last flare, and I am in remission now, I still get the pain although milder, at midcycle for two days. Don't know hwy this happens, either hormones affect my gut at midcycle, or its adhesions.
