Alot of interesting info!
I just wanted to say that I used to smoke and I would highly reccommend quitting ASAP! As you mentioned earlier, I started to realize that often times as I was finishing a cigarette, I would have the urge and have to run to the bathroom. This is proof to me that smoking is very bad for Crohn's. Then when I was diagnosed my doctor told me I had to quit or I would be undoing all the work he was doing with the meds.
Also, I would be honest with your doctor about your meds. If you don't like them, can't afford them, etc, and are not going to follow the prescription you might as well tell him so he can find something to help you. BTW, I have gathered that although Prednisone really sucks, it does a good job at establishing remission! Then you can be put on a maintainance drug. The best thing to do is to be honest with your doctor!
Good Luck!
