I don't always get it on the day, either. Life gets in the way sometimes. Or stupid Medco mail order pharmacy - I was over two WEEKS late once because of their stupidity in getting my meds to me.
My symptoms did creep back that time but thankfully the dose took care of that again.
I did the pens once and went right back to the syringe. I still have to give myself a pep talk each time but they are so much less painful for me. Your doc could change your script if it would make it easier.

I feel your pain. I procrastinate before the shot, but always take it the same day (even if it's almost midnight by the time I've worked up the nerve), because I am hoping desperately to finally get to remission. I have my husband give it to me, because there is no way I could self-administer. LOL at the "easy dispense" pens.
Actually, now that I am taking the shots weekly, it's getting easier, a more regular part of my routine.
Hang in there -- hope it is at least helping you.

I'm doing the self injection thing. After almost a year it doesn't get a lot easier, but just a little easier. I too, have to psych myself up for the experience. Because of that I may be a day late off my schedule. Most of the time, I don't suffer any ill effects. Once in a while I may start to get those familiar cramps though. I've been curious about the Pen method. Either way, I think it's still a challenge. I often wonder, I inject into the tummy area...how does the drug know how get to where it needs to go?
