numb toes.....

Okay this is a weird question, for the past few days fours toes on my right foot have been going numb....is this another thing related to crohns. I know some people with crohns have raynards, does this sound like that or something else?

Are you on Flagyl?  It can cause peripheral neuropathy.  Definitely talk to your doctor.

Hi,

What meds are you on?  Are you getting B12 shots?  I know if your B12 is low it can cause numbness and tingling in your hands and feet.

hi...the only meds I'm on are Pentasa and entocort....

Best to get to your doc and have him test your B12 levels, if they're too low then the first signs are usually tingling/numbness in the fingers and toes, this is the onset of permanant nerve damage due to low B12 levels...you may need supplementation for this.

I was diagnosed w/Raynauds years before my CD. My hands and feet turn "Red, White, and Blue" and they sometimes get numb. It's worse in my feet than my hands. See your doctor and see what he says.

I may be connect; it may not be connect. Have your doc check you B12. If it is not that then you need to look further.

Neuropathy is a common symptom of Celiac Disease.  Please have your doctor screen you for this often silent illness.

My shins & ankles got a numb, pins & needles sensation when I was on Flagyl.  It went away after I stopped the med. 

Speaking of Flagyl, everyone knows you can't drink on it, right?  Not that most people who are taking it feel like drinking but when it was first prescribed to me it was HERE on this forum that I learned that, NOT from my dumb ass dr.  He also had me on it for about 5 weeks when it was originally at that point supposed to be 2 - I was feeling better and who's to say I wouldn't have wanted to have a beer or glass of wine with dinner at that point?  THANK YOU healing well forum for letting me know what would have been the horrid consequences!  :)

I am wondering if you found out what was causing the numbness? I just realized my big toe is numb today. I saw my doctor before that and did not notice it until later. My b12 was on the low end but within limits (202) I get it tested again in one month too. thanks,karen
