New to HUMIRA

Hi there, umm, no, unfortunately it only helps Rhumatoid arthritis, not osteo or crohn's arthritis.  I have been on it 3months, but I am flaring way too much, even took one dose early.  I am now on 7 pred pills a day.  Have to think about my 3rd surgery.  Started my pred yesterday and the body joints were painful but today it is fine.  Good luck with Humira, I wish you all the best.

Give it some time. Three to four months and you should be really noticing a huge difference. I no longer have any joint pain. It was a gradual change for me. I suddenly stopped having to go to the bathroom as much. I started to feel better and not so tired. The joint pain subsided. No more mouth sores. Everthing just got better and better until I noticed that I was mostly without any symptoms at all. It was and continues to be amazing for me. I hope it helps you.

Darn, I was hoping to get some relief from my arthrits when i start Humira (I should take it Wed Finally, if my rx mail order gets it to me) I guess if my rheumy was wrong and it is not just plain old arthritis then it might help.... interesting... wahoo217 , I am glad the Humira is starting to work on your gut issues!!! Thanks everyone.  I was just wondering if anybody knew since it doesn't seem like the doctors do.  LOL.  Reading a lot of these other comments I don't have it so bad.  I can usually control the diarrhea and just occasional stomach aches.  It's just I ALWAYS have the joint pain, aches and chronic fatigue that I deal with.  It is just nice to know that there are people that know what I'm talking about and don't think that I am just a complainer.  I was told in the beginning that I have fibromyalgia but then I wasn't diagnosed with Crohn's yet.  So who knows what it is.  I don't really care.  All I know is that it sucks hurting everyday of my life.  ( and I'm only 43) I feel like 80.  So thank you again for all of your advice.  I hope for the amount of money I pay for it, it will help.
