The amount of lower back pain I have is directly related to how bad my bowel symptoms are, which makes me think that the LBP is also an inflammatory response; crohn's related arthritis.
My LBP also decreases with higher steroid doses. Humira, Azasan, and 20 mg of pred helps alot, but not nearly as much as 40 mg of pred.
I've tried *alot* of back excersizes aimed at helping LBP, and have had zero success. The only thing that helps is keeping the inflammation under control. Well, that and 100mg of Ultram ER twice per day. Often times, excersize exacerbates the inflammation, making the LBP *much* worse.
For me, a bad CD flare not only means innumerable trips to the bathroom, but debilitating LBP to the point that I can't even pick up my 13 month old daughter.
