When I first went back to work I was really uncomfortable with using the public bathroom. I'm in an office building, and we don't have our own- it's shared among all the businesses on the floor. It's probably easier that I'm the only woman in my office, so no chance of running into a coworker in there! But the ladies room on my floor tends to be hot and smelly, and I've finally started carrying my own TP because the stuff provided was like sandpaper on my delicate heiny. After a while it's gets easier. At least it has for me. It's not like I've got any options. I either had to learn to get over the public bathroom issue or quit working, and as a single woman with no other source of income, that's not happening.
Bottom line (pun intended) is that as much as we like to pretend otherwise, it's a natural process. Everybody does it. We just do it longer, louder, and looser!
This blog entry is slightly on topic, and it always cracks me up! http://www.crazyauntpurl.com/archives/2007/04/really_professi.php
