is nursing job get the health insaurance well enough for remicade?

My husband has a crohn's for around 2 yrs. He has been on remicade .We move to usa from India for about 7 yrs back.I am stay at home mom take care of 2 kids.Sometimes me and my husband worried about what happens if he lost his job beacuse of his illness so he said that I have to study the nursing course or something else that will give him health insaurance that is good for his remicade.

I don't know about nursing job do nurses get a good health insaurance?

Moving back to India is not possible now because remicade is very costly there and doctors are also few to understand this crohns.

Since I move here I not did any job ,nor I study anything always plan to go back to India after few yrs but this option is close for us.So I'm worried how to take care my family in future.

With 2 kids its hard to study but I have no option.

I agree with the above comment. It depends on the institution. I worked at a hospital as an administrative assistant and the health benefits were good. Often medical facilities will have decent healthcare plans because they can access better insurance and also can provide services to their own employees at a greater discount. But that is not always the case. And, I don't believe, that at most places you will get better insurance just because you're a nurse rather than if you work at the same place as, let's say, a secretary, or in HR, or in any other department. And, nursing is no piece of cake. It's not a quick fix. It can often take 3-5 years to obtain a nursing degree, and then often you don't get great shifts at first. I guess i'm just saying, if you're interested in healthcare, there are other positions besides nursing. But kudos to nurses! nurses are some of the hardest working, under appreciated people out there and often i trust my nurse way more than the physician that is treating me!

There are lots of good jobs out there that offer health insurance. If you do not already have a college degree getting into nursing might be tough. What are you interested in? Since you are a stay at home mom, do you like other kids? Would you like to work in daycare/teaching? Forgive me for asking but being from India, are you comfortable speaking English? Obviously you type fine but I can type in Spanish (and look up a lot of it) a lot better than I can speak it. I am just curious because being fluent in English would be necessary for some jobs, such as nursing and teaching.

Have you looked into finding work as a translator or tutor or ESL teacher? ESL is english as a second language.
