yeah im debating requesting it more and more, do you think it's two late that we already have our room assignments? i mean its probably worth at least asking because if not im in a forced triple, meaning a room built for two people with three people living in it. so one bed is a top bunk with the desk and dresser shoved under the the other two beds are bunked for one top and one bottom. i already asked my roommates if i can have the bottom one because i told them i get up to go to the bathroom during the night. thats all i said so they dont know why (i dont want them to judge me before they meet me) and they seemed okay but didnt give a definitive answer. what they dont know is that i get up to go to the bathroom at least 5 times a night! theres no way im having a top bunk! ill kill myself cause 1/2 the time im only 1/2 awake anyway!
I think you should at least see if it is an option. There are people who specifically deal with issues similar to this and I'm sure they would accommodate you if you ask. I've seen it happen at my school even mid-semester.
So when I had my single I lofted my bed anyway to give myself more space in the room. I became an acrobat by the end of my first year and was able to instantly flip out of bed and to the bathroom without even opening my eyes since I had so much practice!
