So I was bleeding pretty badly yesterday. I had no pain with it but some small cramps.. Although, I was alarmed I figured it could wait until today when my doctor's office was open. Well, I just woke up and went to the bathroom and this time there was no blood in it at all. I know that it it could be a couple if things but I'm hoping someone might be able to pin point from experience.

Yesterday, it seemed like all the blood came after I was done going, it wasn't really mixed in.. any ideas?

Possibly from internal or external hemmoroids. I had that happen to me about a week ago. I passed alot of bright red blood. I didn't strain or push or anything. Just got a bad cramp, went to the bathroom, and when I wiped there was alot of red blood. I have since had stools where I have had to strain and there has been no blood. Just a thought!

I'm going through the exact same thing! Have you eaten anything new or changed your activity levels? I'm trying to figure this situation out too. Perhaps we can help each other I don't know..

I'm wondering about internal hemorrhoids as well, but I've noticed more pain in the midriff accompanies blood loss.

Thank goodness for medication and the heating pad.

I haven't made a single change to my daily life. I thought about that too last night and I took a lot of time to think about that. haha.. There have been changes in my meds.. we went up on my steroids again over a week ago.. and I have a new prescription that I haven't even picked up from the pharmacy yet.. so.. very little changes if any at all.. However, I have noticed an increase in nausea but really I think a lot of my nausea is psychological.

I did have an endoscopy about a week ago with a biopsy.. but I should have noticed blood well before now if at all..

Actually, I noticed much more bleeding after taking new medication which, incidentally, was a couple of weeks ago. I did read that more blood in stool is a harmful side effect of them BUT my doctor told me to keep taking them. They make a world of difference, but I do worry about the blood loss..it has no pattern I can trace! So confusing...I hope we can figure something out hah.

Was the stool dark black or maroon and sludgey or bright red?

There is no rhyme or reason to my bleeding, it just comes when it wants to.

Could be a number of things. From hemmies, to fissures, to bleeding from up inside that stopped. Good that it stopped though.

I don't as much attention to color of blood anymore. I had sever bleeding from an ulcer up in the TI, that came out so fast it was always bright red. So now I pay attention to how much is coming out. When it happened to me it was several fully blood bowel movements.

That is my first symptom when I'm starting a flare. I ALWAYS pass blood when flaring. It doesn't even phase my GI anymore.

Hey

Sounds like it is at the distil end of the Large Intestines or in the Rectum

Especially based on color, and the fact that it happens after you pass stool

Could be a fissure, hemmeroid, or polyp.

No pain you said?

I know you had an endoscopy

has your doctor done a colonoscopy?

I would definitely go that route

I had firm normal stools and no blood this morning.... just by avoiding some foods and continuing on the meds. It's weird. God willing it continues.

Me too. I'm not phased at all by bleeding, unless its very heavy. Mine is hemmis ( external & internal) and some inflammation right in the rectum. Usually have bleeding with mucus. These days, its the only reminder of the way things COULD be. <Shudder>
