Hey Everyone. I'm the guy that was really distressed two weeks ago with my first flair up after 14 years. I was terrified and getting sicker by the day. I finally got the courage to go to the emergency room at 5am on a Monday and they kept me for 9 days. I was in pretty bad shape. The good news is I feel better than I have felt in several years. My arthritis is in check, my flair has calmed, and my fistula has closed and healing.  I am on Pred for two months and already had my first Remicade infusion while in the hospital. Also taking Flagyl and Something else for another week. I am thankful for all of your advice and comfort. I'm not sure how much longer I would have been afraid to go if I hadn't met you fellow Crohnies. Thanks again and God Bless. Tony

So glad to hear you went and got medical intervention. And very glad to hear you are feeling better, that is really great news. As much as it is hated, Prednisone does work quickly to help you feel better in most cases. Hopefully you are on your way back to remission!

Hi Tony so glad things worked out so good for you and that you are feeling better. Sometimes we don't know when to get to a hospital and I am so glad you got the help you needed. Welcome home and it sure makes us feel good to know we helped. lol gail

       Glad your feeling better, but 9 days? Wow, you must have been in bad shape by the time you went to the ER..    idea

I was in bad shape. Thats what being a coward will do to a crohnie if we dont keep in touch with our doc. Ive learned my lesson. Thanks all
