Pinpoint red spots

I see you're on 6MP - that is one of the side effects. I usually get them on my forearms. They raise up like a blister sometimes. Other times it looks like I must have hit my arm or something. Don't worry, they disappear after about a week or so.  I also got them on the inside of my lip shortly after starting them.

Other side effects are nausea, mild gastro (vomit, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, abdominal pain); mouth ulcers; jaundice (skin or whites of eyes turn yellow); rash, fever or an infection; unexpected bruising or bleeding, hair loss (noticed that after about 3 months but has now stopped);

If you  get any of the following you need to see the dr immediately:

wheezing, swelling of the lips/mouth; difficulty in breathing, hayfever, lumpy rash (hives) or fainting (could be symptoms of an allergic reaction).  However I found that they tested my TMP levels as that can tell them whether or not you can take the drug.

Mine range in size, from very small pin spots and flat, like the ones I have had on both arms for a couple of months, to ones that are bit bigger, more raised like a blister, and then disappear after a week. I also got what looked like blood spots on the bottom of my lip. None are sore and my Dr wasn't too concerned either. Seems to be just the nature of the drug. My sister who doesn't have anything wrong with her (grrr...) has a bcc on her arm and that was just a different nasty looking raised lump much bigger than the ones I get. She got a cream from the Dr but it didn't seem to work so has been applying castor oil (something she read about), and it has almost disappeared.
