crohns7 - I also take a daily childrens chewable vitamin. I find it to be an economic alternative to all the fancy ones, and they do not seem to upset my stomach (I've been taking them for years).
Jessi21 - I don't want your post to get lost - you should really start a new thread with your questions! You'll get a lot more replies if you start a new thread. In the mean time though - WELCOME - I'm glad you found us.
Just to throw my 2 cents in for you Jessi - I have a couple years worth of experience with Remicade, and I'm tapering off the Prednisone myself right now... I know it's no fun. As far as supplements - I have found that powder-filled capsules are ALWAYS easier to digest for me. Large horse-pill tablets just make my belly ache! As far as what to take - there are just too many to go into. RIght off the bat and without hesitation, I would suggest some digestive enzymes (capsules that I take with every meal), and probiotics (get the refrigerated kind, they're worth the extra $$ in my experience). I would just start with those and see how you do. The brands that I buy run me about
$30 each for a one month supply. As far as boosting your immune system, I find that tea is the easy-digestive answer for me. I drink a lot of "home-brewed" herbal teas that seem to keep me from catching most stuff... there's a lot of them out there pre-made in stores that you can try before you start buying in bulk like me.
